𝐋𝐞𝐩𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐡𝐚 is a small Drukpa village on a hilltop inside the Buxa Tiger Reserve. The village is located close to Bhutan, the areal distance not being more than 2 to 3 km. The village has a very small population of about a hundred people. The mystical hamlet Lepchakha has its own lustre and lushness which will captivate your soul to the core. After traversing a distance of 20 km from Alipurduar, The Buxa Tiger Reserve is the next stop. Lepchakha is known for its fusion of the 12 rivers flowing through Dooars which looks like glistening snakes meandering through the plains along with the serene ambience which will leave you spellbound. The trekking trails are filled up with some idyllic scenic splendour and the cheeriness of the birds and the bewilderment of the butterflies will make you awestruck.
The tent houses making through the hills, the bluish blaze of the skies, the quaintness of the forests lulled by the cheekiness of the birds while trekking is pure bliss. The 𝐋𝐞𝐩𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐡𝐚 village is inhabited by the 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐤𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞. They are Bhutanese in origin and are wonderful in their hospitality.
