Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will be warmly received and begin your scenic drive towards Nameri National Park. The distance from Guwahati to Nameri is approximately 210 kilometers and the journey takes around 5 to 6 hours. The drive takes you through the beautiful countryside of Assam, passing tea gardens, river crossings, and small towns along the way. As you approach Nameri, the surroundings turn greener and more serene, reflecting the rich biodiversity of the region. Upon arrival, check in to your eco-lodge or resort near the park. The rest of the evening is free to relax and enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings.

Early in the morning, you will proceed for a guided nature trek inside or around Nameri National Park. This easy forest walk allows you to explore the park’s rich flora and fauna, with chances of spotting birds, small mammals, and learning about the region’s unique ecosystem. After returning from the trek, have breakfast and check out from the lodge. You will then start your journey towards Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh. The distance from Nameri to Dirang is approximately 170 kilometers and the drive takes around 6 to 7 hours. En route, you will cross the Assam–Arunachal border at Bhalukpong, after which the landscape gradually changes into hilly terrain with winding roads and scenic valleys. By evening, arrive at Dirang and check in to your hotel or homestay.

After breakfast, you will begin your journey from Dirang to Tawang, covering a distance of approximately 145 kilometers in about 5 to 6 hours. Before leaving Dirang, you will visit the peaceful Dirang Monastery, offering beautiful views of the valley below. Continuing the drive, you will visit Jaswant Garh, a memorial dedicated to the brave soldier Jaswant Singh Rawat, located amidst scenic mountain surroundings. The journey then takes you across the majestic Sela Pass, situated at an altitude of over 13,700 feet, where you can enjoy panoramic views of snow-clad mountains and the pristine Sela Lake. On the way, you will also stop at the spectacular Nuranang Falls, one of the most picturesque waterfalls in Arunachal Pradesh. By evening, arrive in Tawang and check in to your hotel.

After an early breakfast, you will proceed for an excursion to the high-altitude regions beyond Tawang. The total distance covered for the day is approximately 75 kilometers round trip and the excursion takes around 6 to 7 hours. You will drive to Bumla Pass, located at the Indo–China border, where you can experience the dramatic landscapes and historical significance of the region, subject to permit and weather conditions. On the return journey, you will visit Madhuri Lake, also known as Sungester Lake, a serene alpine lake maintained by the Indian Army and surrounded by stark mountain scenery. You will return to Tawang by late afternoon, with the evening free at leisure.

After breakfast, you will explore the main attractions of Tawang at a relaxed pace. The local sightseeing distance is approximately 15 to 20 kilometers. You will visit the grand Tawang Monastery, the largest monastery in India, known for its spiritual ambiance and sweeping views of the Tawang Valley. Later, you may visit the Giant Buddha Statue and the Tawang War Memorial, which commemorates the brave soldiers who fought in the 1962 Indo–China war. The rest of the day is free for acclimatization, leisure walks, or shopping at the local market.

After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel and begin your return journey towards Bomdila. The distance from Tawang to Bomdila is approximately 175 kilometers and the drive takes around 6 to 7 hours. En route, enjoy the scenic mountain roads, deep valleys, and occasional stops for photographs. Upon arrival in Bomdila by evening, check in to your hotel. If time permits, visit the serene Bomdila Monastery, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and the town below.

After an early breakfast, you will check out and proceed towards Guwahati for your onward journey. The distance from Bomdila to Guwahati is approximately 270 kilometers and the drive takes around 7 to 8 hours. Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will be dropped as per your departure schedule, marking the end of a memorable journey through Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
